Soft as velvet… you may have heard this phrase before. But have you ever had the chance to touch real, plush velvet? A fabric with a delicate velvety texture that remarkably reflects light. This type of garment is perfect for all evening occasions such as opera visits, symphony concerts, balls, and less formal events where the “wow” effect is desired. It’s also an ideal option for weddings when you want to wear something unique and distinctly stand out among the guests. The best combination for it would be a white shirt, bow tie, and black trousers. For the more adventurous, we recommend sets that break historical rules. During less formal events, you can easily pair the velvet blazer with a wool turtleneck and dark gray flannel trousers.

The blazer is crafted using the half-canvas method. The canvas chest filling ensures that the longer you wear it, the more it will conform to your shape. Minimal shoulder padding enhances freedom of movement. Sharply terminated lapels emphasize the contrast between the shoulders and the waist. To accentuate the exclusive character, the blazer features a hand-stitched Milanese boutonniere and an Italian tailoring detail called “spalla camicia” on the sleeve. The fabric used for the blazer is cotton velvet with a 1% elastane blend for increased comfort. The fabric comes from Carnet, a line designed by the designer Emanuel Ungaro. Depending on the lighting, the material can shimmer with deep green or black hues.
