Product details
Looking for a jacket for winter that will stand out from the sea of black down jackets? We have the answer to that!
The bomber jacket is a timeless model whose origins date back to the First World War. It’s no surprise that another popular men’s fashion item originates from the military. These jackets were used by pilots during air combat, protecting them from the low temperatures in the aircraft cabins and providing adequate freedom of movement. This is also the case with contemporary models – a slightly tailored fit, ribbing at the bottom of the jacket and sleeves that sits close to the body, and an unadorned length. These are features that also work perfectly in today’s reality. This model is definitely an option for those looking for a casual jacket with a touch of tailoring detail. The predominant shades of the fabric are navy blue and brown – making it easy to combine with many items of clothing. It will look great with plaid turtlenecks or ocbd shirts with ties.
The fabric is an extremely thick and warm (550/580g) donagal tweed from Irish manufacturer Magee – traditionally used for sewing coats. A characteristic detail of this material is the multicoloured, spotted structure. Despite the predominant navy blue and brown colours, we can find fibres in yellow, turquoise, orange, fuchsia or red.
